Ms. Hom is responsible for the implementation and administration of the company’s in-house accounting and management information system, internal accounting controls and day-to-day accounting functions, including assisting with our co-op and condominium clients’ year-end audits. She is a highly capable team leader for the financial aspects of management transitions.Ms. Hom’s responsibilities also include the review of all monthly accounting entries, general ledger analysis, bank reconciliations, monthly financial statement preparation, and monitoring each property’s cash flow and cash investments. She recognizes clients’ financial requirements and provides accurate financial information on a real-time and monthly basis. Ms. Hom also plays a key role in establishing a strong working relationship with our clients, their CPAs and banking officers.Prior to opening up Crystal Real Estate Management Inc., Ms. Hom has been in this industry for 30 years and has held accounting and controller positions at Pearce, Urstadt, the Kriesel Company and Andrea Bunis Management, Inc. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Accounting from Mercy College.
Ms. Monzon is responsible for the day to day management of the company’s portfolio. She ensures all Local Law, RSA and other filings are done in a timely manner. She is the key liaison with our Boards of Directors and Members. She is responsible for providing daily support for the Superintendents and other pertinent staff members at all properties. Ms. Monzon is the key contract negotiator for all pending construction and alterations. She develops positive relationships with various business contacts and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and suppliers. She is directly involved in the recruitment of new staff and engaged in training the new employees, as well as directly responsible for managing performance reviews and maintaining quality control. Ms. Monzon is instrumental in assisting the company controller in the formulation of the forecasts and budgets. Prior to the formulation of her company Crystal Real Estate Management Inc., Ms. Monzon has held several management positions within the Real Estate field.
With over 5 years of accounting experience in the property management industry, Mr. De La Cruz is responsible for the preparation of Monthly Financial Reports, Bank Reconciliations and deals with the Day-to-Day accounting information entries. He has a strong understanding of the Apartment Building Agreement between Realty Advisory Board on Labor Relations Inc. and Service Employees International Union, LOCAL 32BJ. His understanding of GAAP gives him the ability to increase the financial transparency of all buildings. Mr. De La Cruz holds a State University of New York degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting. He is currently working towards the Certified Public Accountant license in the state of New York.
Ms. Cabrera is fairly new to the property management world but has taken the role and proven to be an excellent addition to Crystal Real Estate Management Inc.. She is diligent with all administrative tasks, including scheduling and correspondence and apply her skills to meet the needs of various clients. She has increased efficiency in several of her assigned roles, and has a strong professional relationship with all our property Board Members including Residents. A graduate of the State University of New York at Albany, she gained experienced working with different community groups and organizations. This enabled her to work and communicate with many people to meet their individual needs. Working in the heart of New York, we face many cultures, many perspectives, and many barriers that Ms. Cabrera can approach with confidence.
